Make reading the main experience

Editorial design organizes attention over time. Establish a clear headline, introduction, body measure, and supporting material. Readers should understand where they are in the story and distinguish the article from navigation or related content.

Use Longform Journal for sustained reading

Longform Journal uses a publication masthead, serif article hierarchy, readable columns, and marginal imagery. The design separates the main argument from quotes and captions. On narrow screens, reading order matters more than preserving desktop columns.

Publish sources and maintain the article

Include real author attribution, relevant sources, and honest publication or revision dates. Avoid fabricated quotations, customer claims, or statistics. Test text scaling, links, focus states, and image alternatives, then keep the published article aligned with the facts it describes.
